Severe thunderstorm warning ended for Ottawa-Gatineau
Environment Canada had warned of quarter size hail and very heavy rain of up to 50 mm
Environment Canada has ended the severe thunderstorm warning it issued Tuesday for the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
The agency said earlier this afternoon it was tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain of up to 50 mm.
Alerts on both sides of the river were over just before 6:30 p.m.
The watch was yellow, the lowest level on Environment Canada's three-level scale.
People should get indoors when thunderstorms approach, according to Environment Canada.
