Join CBC and the Canadian Elite Basketball League for a summer of family-friendly basketball in your community.
The Canadian Elite Basketball League is Canada’s professional men’s basketball league, featuring 10 teams across Canada, including two in Alberta: Edmonton Stingers and Calgary Surge. With elite talent, a fast-paced style of play and strong community ties, the league delivers high-level basketball and memorable summer experiences for fans across the country.
The season runs from May to August, concluding with the CEBL playoffs from Aug. 12 to 16, 2026.
In March 2026, the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) and CBC Sports announced a landmark five-year broadcast partnership that will see marquee games air on CBC TV, including the first best-of-three CEBL Finals in league history, and all games live streamed on CBC Gem and CBC Sports YouTube.
