Man dead after industrial accident in Brampton, police say
A man is dead after an industrial accident in Brampton on Wednesday, Peel police say.
The fatality happened in the area of Auction Lane and Queen Street, according to police. Officers were called to the area at about 4:15 p.m.
Emergency crews found a man without vital signs and performed CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Officials have not said how the man died and have not released his age or occupation. The area where he died appears to be a large lot full of parked vehicles.
Ontario's Ministry of Labour said in an email that it was notified about the death at an industrial yard in Brampton on Wednesday. Ministry inspectors have been assigned to go to the scene, the ministry said.
According to Peel police, the ministry will lead the investigation but members of the police's 21 Division criminal investigation bureau are assisting. No other details were available.
