The work being done on the ground must be communicated more effectively and with greater depth. There is also a need for deeper engagement with people, better outreach at the grassroots and more direct communication with the last person in the queue. This govt has done much to translate PM Modi’s vision into action in Rajasthan. It focused on addressing some of the state’s long-standing challenges, particularly in the water and power sectors, while laying the groundwork for long-term development.Union culture minister Gajendra Singh ShekhawatQ: Why do your exchanges with Ashok Gehlot continue to be bitter?A: Ashok Gehlot and I stand on opposite ends of the political and ideological spectrum. He has far more political experience than I do. However, since his son, Vaibhav, was defeated in Jodhpur, he has developed a particular animosity towards me and draws me into all discussions. It is unfortunate that he seeks to personalise political debates and launch individual attacks. To me, this reflects his political insecurity. As an observer of Rajasthan politics for decades, I have never seen him so vulnerable.Union culture minister Gajendra Singh ShekhawatQ: This year marks 450 years of the Battle of Haldighati. The site suffers from poor signage, encroachments and inadequate interpretation. What plan are underway to restore its historical dignity?A: Haldighati may not fall directly under the ASI or my ministry, but it is unquestionably a site of national importance. It symbolises the courage, sacrifice and resilience of Maharana Pratap and our civilisational heritage. If visitors are not getting the experience such a historic battlefield deserves, it is a matter of concern. I will visit Haldighati on June 18 — my first visit there in 25 years — and explore what can be done to improve its preservation and presentation.Union culture minister Gajendra Singh ShekhawatQ: Critics fear modern structures under the Maharana Pratap Circuit could compromise the authenticity of heritage sites.A: Any development associated with Maharana Pratap should reflect his spirit, legacy and contribution to the nation. Maharana Pratap was not only a symbol of valour and resistance but also someone who patronised art, culture and agriculture. Historical authenticity and emotional connect must remain at the centre of such projects. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Jaipur | Silver Rate in Jaipur | Bank Holidays in Jaipur | Public Holidays in Jaipur | Jaipur AQI | Weather in Jaipur | Petrol Price in Jaipur | Diesel Price in Jaipur | CNG Price in Jaipur | LPG Price in JaipurStay updated with the latest Jaipur news.
