Arizona ESA scholarship amendment could block voter initiatives
Arizona lawmakers passed a constitutional amendment that would protect scholarship money for military families — but critics say it is designed to block two voter initiatives aimed at reforming the state's ESA school voucher program. The measure, introduced Friday night in the Senate, moved through a quick committee hearing and passed the Senate within hours. It was among the last items the House voted on before the session ended.
