Ukraine strikes logistics, oil facilities in Russia

Ukrainian forces used drones to attack a logistics hub and an oil refinery in central Russia.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a social media post on Saturday that the refining facility was 1,000 kilometers from the front line in Russia's Samara region.

Russian online retailer Ozon announced that the strike on its Samara logistics facility set off a fire.

Footage from the site shows black smoke billowing from a building.

Ozon said work at the facility has been halted after the strike.

Russia's presidential office on Saturday published a local media outlet's interview of President Vladimir Putin, who vowed to step up the offensive against Ukraine.

In the interview, Putin said Ukraine has set the goal of harming Russia's economy and opened "Pandora's box." He said Russia will undertake strikes on the most sensitive areas of Ukraine's economy.

In Ukraine, a Russian drone strike on a shopping center in the eastern Dnipropetrovsk region left 16 people dead on Friday. Russian attacks continued into Saturday across Ukraine. In the capital, Kyiv, a Russian missile attack hit a railway facility, killing an employee there.
