A Winnipeg youth is now in stable condition after they were hit by a vehicle in the city's North End area on Friday night.

The youth — a pedestrian — was hit near Salter Street and Burrows Avenue around 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Winnipeg police said in a statement to CBC News on Saturday.

They were taken to hospital in unstable condition, which was later upgraded to stable.
