Was Quebec consulted about Carney’s airport privatization plan?
Ottawa did not consult Quebec before announcing plans to privatize Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) Leader and Premier Christine Fréchette said Tuesday evening."No, we were not consulted on the question," Fréchette told reporters late Tuesday following the election campaign's first leaders' debate.PQ Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon took Fréchette to task on Carney's announcement during the TVA-hosted debate, accusing the CAQ leader of failing to assert Quebec's will in discussions with Ottawa.
