The Basque Government to Showcase 30 Collaboration Projects Between Startups from Around the World and Leading Basque Companies and SMEs
The Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) will host the tenth edition of the event on the morning of July 2, where 30 solutions focused on process optimization, maintenance and monitoring, energy and sustainability, customer engagement, cybersecurity, and healthcare will be presented.
BIND, the open innovation platform developed by the Basque Government and the SPRI Group, will hold its annual Demo Day on July 2 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Barakaldo. The event will showcase 30 projects developed through collaborations between startups and Basque SMEs, corporations, and public entities.
Corporations, SMEs, public organizations, investors, and startups are invited to attend this free event to gain inspiration, build connections, and explore the future of industry. Registration is now openthrough the platform’s website.
The event will feature representatives responsible for entrepreneurship within the Basque Government’s Department of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear the keynote address by Juan Merodio, one of Spain’s and Latin America’s leading experts in Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Business, and Digital Transformation.
His presentation, entitled “The Future Is Not Predicted; It Is Built,” will explore the role of AI, people, technology, and decision-making in the new era.
Ten Years Showcasing Innovation That Works
BIND Demo Day 2026 will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the BIND platform, which has become an internationally recognized initiative for enhancing competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability through startup-driven innovation projects.
Since 2016, BIND has accelerated more than 275 startups, which have developed over 400 open innovation projects with Basque companies, generating more than €10 million in real commercial contracts.
Today, more than 100 companies from sectors such as automotive, advanced manufacturing, energy, metallurgy, and public organizations participate in the platform to identify technologies that optimize industrial processes, improve competitiveness, and reduce environmental impact.
BIND Demo Day provides an ideal opportunity for Basque companies, investors, public entities, and members of the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem to discover startups from around the world whose solutions are already being successfully deployed in the Basque Country.
