TCU Climbs in 2027 U.S. News & World Report Rankings

U.S. News & World Report ranked Texas Christian University No. 90 among national universities in its 2027 Best Colleges rankings, up seven spots from last year. It is the 16th year TCU has ranked in the top 100.

“This year’s U.S. News ranking is an important measure of TCU’s accelerated momentum as a leading national university and our resolute focus on student success,” said Chancellor Daniel W. Pullin. “Demand for a TCU education has never been stronger, and we’re educating more Horned Frogs than ever in our 153-year history. Earning recognition as a top 100 national university for the past 16 years reflects our ongoing investment in academics and research while delivering the top student experience in the country.”

TCU also placed No. 48 in Top Private Colleges, a new ranking U.S. News introduced this year.

“We’re also pleased to be recognized among the top 50 of Top Private Colleges, reflecting the strength of TCU’s academic profile,” said Pullin.

TCU earned national rankings in these categories:

TCU gained ground in two rankings tied to affordability and access. The university moved up two spots to No. 70 among Best Value Schools, which weighs academic quality against the net cost of attendance for students who receive need-based aid. TCU also climbed four spots to No. 58 among Best Colleges for Veterans.

“Our incredible faculty and staff will continue to deliver an exceptional values-based TCU experience as we prepare the next generation of leaders,” said Pullin.

These rankings build on other national recognition for TCU this year. The Princeton Review again placed TCU in its top 10 for Happiest Students, along with top 10 rankings for Best Student Support and Counseling Services and Best Quality of Life.
