Suspect wanted after Mississauga double homicide seen near Toronto's High Park

Peel police named the 46-year-old son of the dead couple as a suspect last week

A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after a double homicide last week was seen in Toronto on Monday night, police said.

Jordan Sangwin, 46, is believed to be travelling on foot and was last seen around 11 p.m. Monday near High Park, said Peel police on social media.

They shared a grainy black and white security video of a man walking down a residential sidewalk and said Sangwin was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, shorts and a black duffle bag slung across his shoulder.

A senior couple in their early 70s were found with life-threatening injuries at a Mississauga home on Thursday night after officers were called for a disturbance at the residence, said Peel police.

The couple died in hospital from their injuries, which police said was not caused by a firearm. Police named the couple's son Sangwin as a suspect.

People are urged to contact police immediately if they spot Sangwin or know where he is, but are warned not to approach him as he's "considered armed and dangerous," Peel police said.

Sangwin is described to be 5'10 with a medium build and clean shaven with short salt and pepper hair.

Peel police said anyone caught assisting, harbouring or concealing a person wanted by police may face criminal charges.
