CNTTech launches English edition to spotlight Korean startups abroad

Startup investment and incubation specialist CNTTech is launching an English edition of its content series introducing Korean startups, "Startup Morning Coffee."

Jeon Hwa-sung's CNTV said that starting on the 14th it will produce startup content introduced on its Korean-language broadcasts with English narration and subtitles and provide it as separate videos. The Korean edition is available at 8:40 a.m. on weekdays, and the English edition at 9 a.m., on the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@cntvv.

The first English episode is No. 1415, "THE ENGINEER." THE ENGINEER is corporations developing a manufacturing design artificial intelligence (AI) service that consolidations manufacturing requirements into concept images, three-dimensional (3D) models, proposals, and more.

The broadcast introduces issues such as communication delays and repetitive tasks in early design stages; technology that structures requirements and consolidations them into design deliverables; and business models including subscription, corporations licenses, and on-premises. It also notes that the core value of the technology is not only the speed of drafting designs but whether it leads to actual manufacturing validation.

The English edition is produced by combining English narration and subtitles with the original footage of the Korean broadcast. It uses AI synthesized voice and avatars, with a focus on maintaining the facts and meaning of the original. The policy is not to add results, figures, or quotes that are not in the original during translation. Press releases will also provide Korean and English texts together to help overseas viewers and media understand the technology and business direction of domestic startups.

CNTTech CEO Jeon Hwa-sung said, "The goal of the English edition is to make content that explains the technology and business of Korean startups accessible in more diverse language environments."
