Samsung C&T Launches New Business Demonstrations With 6 Promising Startups in AI, Robots
Seoul Economic Development Agency to roll out '2026 FutureScape'—scale-up benefits including up to 50 million won in support
Samsung C&T’s Construction division has kicked off a full-fledged collaboration with promising startups poised to lead future innovative technologies.
Samsung C&T said Tuesday it held a kickoff meeting for proof-of-concept collaboration under its open innovation program, '2026 FutureScape,' on the 8th and has begun PoC activities with the six startups it ultimately selected.
'2026 FutureScape' is an innovation project jointly promoted by Samsung C&T and the Seoul Economic Development Agency (SBA). The program aims to identify startups with strong technologies and ideas, support market validation and business collaboration, and ultimately create shared business models.
The kickoff meeting brought together six teams of startups from a range of future industries, including home platform, wellness, senior living, robot solutions and next-generation edtech, along with Samsung C&T officials, to discuss project goals and implementation plans.
The six startups participating in this demonstration program are Home&Co (a home repair online and offline integrated platform based on a standard pricing system), LeMong (a conversational AI that provides user-tailored content), InBooth (a modular smart booth that can be installed and moved without construction work), Dever (a last-mile logistics solution that automates order processing and dispatching inside buildings), SeeFlat AI (a low-cost TTS-based senior companion service), and Team Ellysium (a musculoskeletal health status analysis service based on 3D sensors).
Hyeong Si-won, head of Samsung C&T’s DxP business strategy team (general manager), said, "This kickoff meeting is the official starting point for Samsung C&T to begin full-scale collaboration with startups." He added, "Through technology demonstrations, we plan to create new changes for existing businesses and actively support the effort so that, in the long term, it can develop into a shared business model."
For the selected companies, Samsung C&T will offer opportunities to validate business models and jointly develop technologies through collaboration. In addition, practical scale-up benefits will be provided, including voucher support from major cloud companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Naver and Megazone, as well as commercialization support grants on the order of up to 50 million won. A Demo Day where the demonstration results from each project will be shared is set to be held in October.
Meanwhile, through its 'FutureScape' program, Samsung C&T has identified a total of 21 innovation startups since 2023 to date, and it is pursuing active co-commercialization efforts with companies where strategic synergies have been confirmed.
