OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta executives to attend White House meeting on AI

The tech executives are expected to discuss artificial intelligence risks with President Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson, according to four people familiar with the plans.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Anthropic chief Dario Amodei, OpenAI President Greg Brockman and Google CEO Sundar Pichai are expected to attend a lunch meeting on artificial intelligence at the White House on Tuesday, according to four people familiar with the plans, each of whom confirmed one executive’s attendance.

All four were granted anonymity to disclose nonpublic information.

President Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson will also join the meeting, POLITICO previously reported. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

It comes as top executives at leading AI labs have called for a slowdown in AI development over concerns they are unable to mitigate critical risks posed by the rapidly advancing technology.
