Motorcyclist, 64, dead after collision with SUV on Highway 6 in Hamilton
OPP say crash happened at Highway 6 and Book Road East on Thursday
A 64-year-old man has died following a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Hamilton, Ontario Provincial Police say.
OPP said in a news release that emergency crews were called to the intersection of Highway 6 and Book Road East shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.
"The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries," the Friday release states.
Police have not released the name of the man who died.
The cause of the collision has not been determined and no charges have been announced.
As of Friday, Highway 6 remained closed in both directions between Highway 403 and Airport Road West while members of the OPP Highway Safety Division's Burlington detachment continued to investigate. Book Road East was also closed between Fiddlers Green Road and Southcote Road.
