Man arrested following threats that prompted evacuation of downtown Halifax parkade
Investigation also underway in Clayton Park area where arrest was made
Halifax police arrested a man on Monday morning in response to threats he allegedly made.
In a news release, police said the Purdy's Wharf parkade was evacuated and shut down while officers searched a suspicious vehicle related to the threats.
The man was arrested on Thomas Raddall Drive near the Canada Games Centre in the Clayton Park area of Halifax.
The public was advised to avoid both areas.
Police said updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
