Korea Masters: Okimoto, Sharma in Action

Fresh from their conquest of the YONEX Taipei Open 2026 on Sunday, four of the five winners will be seen in action at the VICTOR Korea Masters 2026.

Yudai Okimoto, Tanvi Sharma, Sumire Nakade/Miyu Takahashi and Yuta Watanabe/Maya Taguchi will hope to continue their winning form in Asan this week at the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament.

World No.26 Okimoto, who earlier won the Canada Open last month, will take on Saneeth Dayanand in the first round. The top seed is likely to run into fifth seed Jason Gunawan in the quarterfinals.

Other prominent names in the men’s singles draw are second seed Jason Teh, Kidambi Srikanth, Hu Zhe An, Su Li Yang and the unseeded Lee Zii Jia.

Tanvi Sharma, who became the youngest winner of the Taipei Open at 17, is likely to run into compatriot Shriyanshi Valishetty in the second round. Among her compatriots in the draw are Ashmita Chaliha, Anmol Kharb, Isharani Baruah, Tanya Hemanth and Aakarshi Kashyap.

In women’s doubles, USA’s Lauren Lam/Allison Lee start as top seeds, while Ririna Hiramoto/Kokona Ishikawa head the lower half of the draw.
