Ukrainian drones strike St. Petersburg oil facilities
Ukrainian drone strikes on Russia's second largest city of St. Petersburg and a neighboring region have killed one person and damaged oil facilities and other infrastructure.
The mayor of St. Petersburg said on social media on Sunday that a massive drone attack on the city had left one person dead and five others injured. The mayor said fires had broken out at oil facilities, including a terminal and depot.
Russian online retailer Ozon said that one of its logistics centers in the city had come under a drone attack.
Also on Sunday, the governor of the neighboring region of Leningrad said that Ukrainian drones had struck a power substation, residential buildings, as well as a data center for a major Russian social networking site VKontakte. The governor added that 145 drones had been shot down.
Russia's state-run TASS news agency reported that the attacks in Leningrad were among the largest in the region so far, with at least 10 people injured.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized Russia in a social media post on Sunday, saying Russia has struck mainly energy-related facilities in Ukraine over the past week with nearly 2,700 drones, 66 missiles and other weapons.
