U.S. women's basketball has gotten mighty used to winning throughout the past two decades.

The Americans are well known for their dominance in Olympic competition, reeling off wins in 78 of their 81 contests in the famed tournament. They have arguably been even more impressive in the World Cup, brushing foes aside as the tournament has traipsed from Central Europe to the Iberian peninsula and Oceania.

With that, here's a look at Team USA's epic World Cup win streak, a run of victories that has swelled during the side's journey to Berlin in 2026.

U.S. women's basketball has reeled off 35 straight wins in World Cup competition, downing each opponent it has faced en route to four consecutive World Cup titles.

Those victories have tended to be decisive; Team USA has claimed double-digit wins in all but one game — its 55-52 win over Italy in 2026.

The Americans have enjoyed unprecedented dominance in women's basketball's signature international tournament, claiming a competition-best 11 crowns. Team USA's recent showings have proven even more eye-catching; the U.S. boasts a +1,066-point differential since the start of the 2010 tourney.

Team USA's reign of terror was at its pinnacle in 2022 — Cheryl Reeve's side dusted its foes by an average margin of victory of more than 40 points.

The 2026 iteration of the competition has proven a lot tighter, by comparison. The Americans put up big numbers in wins against China, Czechia and Hungary. But its displays against the Italians and Spaniards were less than ideal, even if they did end in victories.

Nevertheless, the victories have continued to pile as the years have gone on. The U.S. will look to add another World Cup triumph under its belt when it takes on France in the 2026 title game.
