A driver was cut free from a car after having a "high-speed collision" with a tree, firefighters have said.
Emergency services were called to the A358 in Tytherleigh, near Axminster in Devon, at about 09:35 BST to reports of a crash involving a single vehicle.
Devon and Somerset Fire Service said two passengers had got out of the car by the time crews arrived and the driver was seen by the ambulance service.
Devon Highways said the road, which links Axminster to Chard in Somerset, had been closed while the incident was dealt with.
