Harry Styles delights fan who works on 'dog bus'

Singer Harry Styles has delighted a fan who held up a handmade sign at his latest Wembley concert to tell him about a "dog bus".

Lily Forsyth, 20, has a job with Billy's Bus, a dogsitting service based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, where customers' pets are taken on day trips aboard a special minibus.

Her sign informed Styles that she had "skipped a dog bus" to attend the gig, which is part of his Together, Together tour.

Styles, who has made a habit of starting conversations with audience members and reading out signs during the 12-night residency, asked her about her job and told her: "This is the best school trip ever - and thank you from the world's dogs!"

Speaking about the experience, Forsyth, from Bingley, said: "I'd already planned where I wanted to stand in the pit and ended up being second row.

"As silly as it sounds, I simply just held up my sign when he was near and I couldn't believe he was talking to me."

She said talking to Styles was like having a conservation with a "new friend" and she felt "in awe" of the 32-year-old superstar.

"It was an absolute dream to speak to him and even just the rumour of a new album coming out got me through some really tough times last year," Forsyth added.

In November, Billy's Bus founder Laura Mohan told the BBC that she thought her "dog bus" was the first of its kind anywhere in the UK.

She took inspiration from an American business called Canine Convoy, and recruited driver Ray Welderend to drive around Leeds and Bradford collecting "pawsengers".

The bus is then taken on drive-bys to care homes, schools and nurseries to allow people to interact with the dogs.

She had 340 dogs enrolled by the end of 2025 and was considering buying a second vehicle.

The bus has a live video feed so owners can follow their pets' adventures, which include trips to Outside the Box in Ilkley, a community cafe that support adults with learning disabilities.

Styles' chat with Forsyth lasted a couple of minutes and he even walked around the stage a bit pretending to pick up pups.

After, she "collapsed to the ground" in excitement.

Forsyth, who says she has been a fan since the One Direction days, added: "To be honest, I don't know how I managed to keep my composure, especially when I'd say I'm not a people person and that's why I work with dogs."
