Montreal man charged with helping 53 people enter Canada using fraudulently obtained visas
A Montreal man accused of helping more than 50 people enter Canada with fraudulently obtained visas is believed to have left the country and is on the run, border authorities said Friday.
The Canada Border Services Agency said in a statement a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Abul Kasim, 42, who allegedly left Canada in June 2025.
The investigation goes back to 2024. Now, Kasim is accused of helping 65 people provide false information in temporary visa applications and refugee claims between January 2022 and March 2024.
