Hamal demands advanced rescue technology for Rasuwa flood victims
RASUWA: Gen-Z activist Rabi Kiran Hamal has urged the government to intensify rescue and relief operations in flood- and landslide-hit Rasuwa on a war footing.
After visiting affected areas, Hamal called for international assistance, advanced rescue technology and specialized equipment to find people trapped in tunnels, riverbanks and remote areas. He also urged authorities to accelerate the search for missing people and properly manage human and animal remains to prevent a public-health crisis.
Hamal stressed the need to empower local governments and mobilize volunteers for effective relief distribution, while also launching a long-term rehabilitation programme covering housing, livelihoods, education and healthcare for displaced families.
