Team USA pulled out of Sunday's FIBA Women's World Cup game against Italy with a narrow 55-52 win. But it was an ugly performance, as several players just didn't play well throughout the matchup.

Things were so ugly that a score bug malfunction late in the fourth quarter perfectly summed up the play from Team USA. For whatever reason, viewers witnessed the score change for a few seconds, displaying a negative one for USA, according to women's basketball reporter Daniel Thompson.

The win for Team USA was one of the lowest-scoring victories in the team's history, per Alexa Philippou of ESPN. The last time Team USA scored just 55 points in a win came, coincidentally, 55 years ago.

"USA's 55 points tonight mark its lowest-scoring World Cup game since 1971," Philippou reported.

Jackie Young was the only player on the roster to score double-digit points with 10. Meanwhile, regular producer Breanna Stewart finished the day with five points, only hitting one field goal out of her nine attempts.

As a whole, Team USA shot 29% from the field, and just 8% from beyond the three-point line. Free throws seemed to be how the women pulled off the win, as they hit 73% of their attempts, with 22 of their 55 points scored from the charity stripe. The level of play was nowhere near as productive as Friday's 94-61 win over China.

Team USA will have a chance to have a bounce back performance in the FIBA Women's World Cup on Monday. They are scheduled to take on Czech Republic at 2:45 p.m. EST. It will be final matchup in the group phase before the tournament officially begins on Tuesday.
