Dublin-based LearnUpon secures €44.5 million to scale its agentic learning platform

LearnUpon, a Dublin-based enterprise learning platform, has secured a €44.5 million ($50 million) growth financing facility.

The financing came from Claret Capital Partners, a London-based independent growth debt fund manager, which has deployed over €1.5 billion across more than 210 companies in the technology, life sciences, and impact sectors. Since its founding in 2013, the UK firm has raised €1.3 billion in total capital, and its Fund IV is backed by a range of institutional investors, including the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF).

“LearnUpon has built a strong, scaled business and is now moving quickly to capture the opportunity agentic AI is creating in corporate learning. We’re delighted to support the team as the company accelerates its organic and acquisition strategy,” said Philip Treacy, Vice President, Claret Capital Partners.

Founded in 2012 by Brendan Noud and Des Anderson, LearnUpon has spent over a decade building learning management software for enterprises ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to scaling SMBs. Its platform helps businesses train and develop employees, customers, and association members.

The company operates out of Dublin and London, with additional offices in Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Sydney, and Belgrade. LearnUpon’s platform serves organisations across workforce development, customer education and association management.

While the company has been building a traditional LMS system for over a decade, it has recently launched a new Agentic Learning Platform, which the company says is a product of multi-year R&D effort. It says the new platform is designed to address a structural problem in corporate learning, where the administrative burden forces teams into maintenance mode rather than strategic impact. It addresses this by separating human decision-making from machine execution.

Learning leaders and executives set organisational goals, compliance requirements and vision; AI agents then handle administrative workflows, real-time content curation, dynamic skill gap closure and localised delivery, automating laborious manual work.

In November 2025, the company announced the acquisition of Berlin-born Courseau, an AI-assisted course authoring platform. In May this year, Courseau rebranded as CreateUpon, an AI-native course authoring tool aiming to bridge the gap between speed, control, and learning impact.

“We believe the real winner in the AI era won’t just be the fastest technology, but the organisations that best unlock human potential,” said Noud, CEO and co-founder of LearnUpon.

He added, “This $50M facility fuels our vision to pioneer agentic learning. It gives us the financial strength to innovate aggressively, scale rapidly, and define the future of enterprise learning.”

The growth financing is structured in such a way that LearnUpon’s existing shareholders avoid equity dilution. According to the company, the financing will be directed towards three areas: accelerating product development on the agentic learning platform, expanding LearnUpon’s International market presence, and pursuing strategic acquisitions. In the long term, the company aims to be the definitive platform for corporate learning in the agentic era.
