Delhivery launches AI
Delhivery has announced the launch of Delhivery Maps, the country’s first AI-native mapping suite built on commercial logistics telemetry. The launch coincides with Delhivery’s 15-year anniversary and marks the company’s entry into the geospatial infrastructure space.Unlike consumer-grade maps designed for passenger transit, Delhivery Maps is engineered for commercial shipping. It integrates operational parameters such as heavy-vehicle and bike speeds, routing constraints, incomplete address inputs, and landmark-based navigation. Its accuracy is backed by metadata from over two billion shipments and one billion daily GPS pings from Delhivery’s fleet of 100,000 vehicles.By replacing reliance on third-party mapping providers, Delhivery Maps now powers 100% of the company’s nationwide network across Express Parcel, Part-Truckload Freight, Supply Chain Services, and Delhivery Local. The mapping suite is driven by Naksha LLM, a proprietary geospatial reasoning model that uses dynamic reasoning loops instead of rigid databases. Delhivery Maps offers APIs for Auto-Complete, Geocoding, Reverse Geocoding, Vehicle-Aware Routing, Navigation, Distance Matrix, and Map Tiles. Developers can deploy advanced AI workflows and autonomous agents requiring high-tier location intelligence via the Delhivery Maps MCP.Delhivery Maps addresses operational bottlenecks overlooked by existing tools. Use cases include:Hyperlocal and quick-commerce firms optimizing address validation and ETAs.Ride-hailing and gig-economy platforms reducing fare disputes and driver friction with vehicle-specific routing.Brands and enterprises improving checkout experiences, dispatch operations, and geospatial analysis.Kapil Bharati, Executive Director & CTO of Delhivery, said: “We built Delhivery Maps out of operational necessity to run India’s largest logistics network intelligently and solve for unstructured addresses and commercial routing rules at a massive scale. Opening up the API and AI Models externally marks our entry as a commercial geospatial infrastructure provider.”Delhivery Maps APIs are now live for commercial integration.
