The investigation started just after 2 p.m. PT Thursday when police found an unresponsive man near 12th Avenue and Canyon Street, the commercial core of the city of about 5,000 people.
The man, now identified as Larry John Isaac, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect has been arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder and police say he remains in custody.
