Clacton By Election to be held 13 August

The by-election in Clacton will take place on 13 August.

Tendring District Council received the writ on Friday and has announced the date voting will take place.

It comes after Reform UK leader Nigel Farage resigned as MP for the Essex seat. Though he intends to stand.

Nominations will open on Monday for candidates with a deadline of next Friday 17 July, to apply.
