Calgary massage therapist charged with sexual assault following incident involving a client
Incident occurred last August and was reported to police earlier this year
Calgary police have charged a massage therapist with sexual assault following an incident involving a client last August.
On Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, a person visited a massage therapist in southwest Calgary, according to a police news release on Tuesday.
"It is believed during the appointment the massage therapist touched the victim in a sexual manner without consent," the release said.
The incident was reported to police earlier this year, and officers opened an investigation.
Police executed a search warrant on the business last Wednesday, and arrested a man.
One person has since been charged with one count of sexual assault.
There is no time limit in Canada for reporting a sexual assault. Police are encouraging anyone who believes they are the victim of a sexual assault to report it, no matter how many years have passed since the incident.
