Bursa Malaysia’s technology director Ashish Rege steps down
PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia Bhd has announced that its director of group technology, Ashish Jaywant Rege, will step down on July 14, following the expiry of his fixed-term employment contract.
In a filing with the local bourse, Bursa Malaysia said it has embarked on an exercise to identify and appoint a new replacement for Ashish.
“An announcement on the new appointment will be made in due course.
“In the interim, Tan York Kie, executive vice president, applications, group technology, will assume the position of acting director, group technology effective July 14.”
According to Bursa Malaysia’s annual report, Ashish, an Indian national, has over 30 years of information technology experience in a wide range of areas.
This includes, among others – the internet and mobile banking, e-commerce transaction infrastructure and information technology strategy.
“Ashish served numerous multinational banking and financial services companies worldwide, prior to joining Bursa Malaysia.”
