Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, Mirzapur: The Movie is based on the iconic franchise, Mirzapur. After three seasons, the makers have made a movie, which will be releasing in theatres, concluding the iconic franchise. Just a few days ago, the makers of the film unveiled the much-awaited teaser of the movie, featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, and many others. The movie is directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna.

Mirzapur’s first season was released on Amazon Prime Video in November 2018. It went on to gain popularity amongst the viewers because of its characters, scripts, and the performances of the actors. However, the next two seasons failed to create as much hype as the first one, receiving mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience.

Directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the upcoming movie, Mirzapur: The Movie, is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment. A part of the Mirzapur franchise, the movie stars an ensemble cast of actors including, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Sushant Singh, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anjum Sharma, Sonal Chauhan, Pramod Pathak, and Anangsha Biswas. The movie will be released in Hindi and Telugu languages, in theatres on September 4, 2026.
