Burnham meets Zelenskyy, will share drone warfare tech

The new British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has signaled his strong support for Ukraine. He has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the first time since taking office.

Speaking at a naval base in Portsmouth on Monday, Burnham stressed the UK's support for Ukraine, saying: "We are with Ukraine 100 percent. I am personally with you 100 percent Mr. President, and I will honor every commitment this country has made to Ukraine in full."

Burnham also said he plans to share the intellectual property for a new British electronic warfare system. He said it will help Kyiv hit its targets and save Ukrainian lives.

The government said the system uses tablet-sized electronic jammers that can prevent Russian air defense systems from detecting the drones they are attached to. It said this exchange of technical know-how will allow Ukraine to mass produce the devices themselves.

Zelenskyy is slated to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday.
