BPD reviewing video after disturbance at AFRAM
Baltimore police are investigating the assault of two officers during a large fight involving juveniles at the AFRAM festival on Saturday night. Police said juveniles were throwing objects at officers, who were able to clear the area; however, two officers were assaulted in the process. Though the festival returned to normal, police declared a civil unrest zone on Saturday to bring in additional resources, including the Foxtrot helicopter, to further clear the area. In response to the incident, Mayor Brandon Scott announced an age restriction for the festival's final day, requiring anyone under 18 to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
