Baltimore celebrates Mary Alice Jones' 100th birthday
A drive-by celebration marked a very happy 100th birthday for Mary Alice Jones. Family, friends and the community gathered Saturday on Gwynn Oak Avenue in Northwest Baltimore to celebrate Jones' birthday. Jones is a devoted deaconess at Whitestone Baptist Church, a longtime Coppin State University employee, a 50-year member of Forest Park Senior Center, and the matriarch to six daughters and a son, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
