90 startups took centre stage at Selangor Triple Accelerator showcase days
Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) concluded the Selangor Triple Accelerator Programme 2026 Showcase Days, held from 18–20 August 2026 in Kuala Lumpur. The three-day event brought together 90 startups across three accelerator tracks — 30 each from Token-X (Web3, blockchain and fintech), Deep-X (AI, healthtech and agritech) and Retail-X (retail, e-commerce and consumer technology), after 12 weeks of building and refining their businesses.
“At Sidec, we believe our role goes beyond supporting startups — it is about creating the platforms, connections and opportunities that help founders move forward. The Showcase Days reflect this commitment by giving our startups a stage to showcase their businesses and connect with the wider ecosystem. We are proud to be part of their journey as they take their ventures to the next level,” said Yong Kai Ping, CEO of Sidec.
Each founder had ten minutes to pitch, followed by a ten-minute live Q&A with industry experts and ecosystem partners. Finalists were determined through a combined score of judges’ assessments and audience votes. Judging panels were led by Ryan Dass (Deep-X), David Lee (Retail-X) and Mohamad Nazri Arshad (Token-X), alongside other judges and the public. All 90 startups also exhibited through booths and live demos, giving attendees, investors and partners a chance to engage directly with their products and teams.
Ahead of the Showcase Days, each track was supported by dedicated Super Mentors. Token-X founders were guided by Dr Ian Tan, CEO of Shadow Combat League; Johan Nasir, programme director, Project Web3ducate; and Chin Tseng, principal, AppWorks. Deep-X founders worked with Stephanie Sitt, co-founder and group CEO, Pixlr Group; Oon Wee Keong, co-founder and COO, Fiuu; and Tunku Omar Asraf, partner at Artem Ventures, and gained international exposure through a visit to Singapore, including Google’s Asia Pacific headquarters and Stage One. Retail-X founders were mentored by William Ng, president of SAMENTA; Vykintas Mineikis, COO of ZALORA; and Bevan Tan, country manager, Malaysia and Thailand, Alibaba.com, with site visits to ZALORA and Lapasar.
The top eight finalists from each track will be announced in mid-Sept 2026. These 24 finalists will then compete at the Grand Final Demo Day on 14 Oct at the Plenary Theatre, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, held during the AI & Semiconductor Summit (AiSEM@Selangor).
A total of 12 winners across the three programmes will be recognised, each receiving an international trip, access to investment and networking opportunities, and a trophy and certificate. The champion of each track will also receive an additional US$5,000 (RM20,000) cash prize.
Sidec thanked all judges, participants, partners and audiences who made the Showcase Days possible, with special appreciation to AFFIN Bank (Strategic Banking Partner) and Fiuu (Strategic Payment Partner) for their sponsorship, and to Plug and Play APAC, CCACC, (a Malaysia-based Web3 innovation hub and venture-support organisation), EasyStore, Microsoft, Exabytes and GoFluence for their support.
