YE Live in Jakarta spotlights Jakarta’s potential as destination for international concert tourism

International demand is building for YE Live in Jakarta 2026, the Jakarta stop of rapper and producer Ye – formerly known as Kanye West – on his 2026 world tour with the event being positioned as an opportunity to promote Jakarta as a destination for international concert tourism.

With fans from Australia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, the United States, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh and Finland purchasing tickets ahead of the October concert, organisers are encouraging overseas visitors to extend their stay and experience the city's food, fashion, arts, shopping, nightlife and culture.

Presented by Raw Vision Collective, the 24th October event will bring YE’s Globe Stage to Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, combining live music with visual art, lighting, pyrotechnics and immersive stage design in a 360-degree stadium production.

Category 4 tickets are reportedly approaching sell-out as international fans plan trips to Jakarta for YE’s first Indonesian performance.

Raw Vision Collective Chief Marketing Officer Karen Tjahja said international demand demonstrated the potential for the concert to generate benefits beyond the stadium and noted “we want fans to come for YE, but also experience Jakarta culture, the food, fashion, art, and everything the city has to offer.”

Globe Stage heads to JakartaA central feature of the production will be YE's Globe Stage, designed as a 360-degree experience that places audiences around the performance.

The production combines high-resolution visuals, lighting, pyrotechnics, music, visual art and stage design, with organisers describing the format as one in which audiences become part of the production rather than simply watching from a conventional stadium seating arrangement.

The use of GBK Main Stadium also highlights Jakarta's capacity to accommodate major international entertainment productions.

Rakhmadi Kusumo, Chief Executive of PPKGBK (Pusat Pengelolaan Komplek Gelora Bung Karno, or the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre - an Indonesian government agency operating under the Ministry of State Secretariat) said hosting the event demonstrated the city's growing position within the international concert market.

Kusumo shared “we are proud that Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium has been entrusted as the venue for YE Live In Jakarta 2026.

“It demonstrates Jakarta’s growing position as an international concert destination and the infrastructure available to support world-class productions.”

Concert tourism opportunityAlongside standard tickets, organisers have introduced ticket-and-hotel packages aimed at international visitors.

The packages combine two concert tickets with accommodation at selected Jakarta hotels, with two-day/one-night and three-day/two-night options available.

The initiative reflects a broader trend towards concert tourism, where major live entertainment events become a catalyst for interstate and international travel and encourage visitors to combine attendance with accommodation, dining, retail and other tourism experiences.

For Jakarta, YE Live is being positioned as an opportunity to showcase the city's wider visitor offering while generating activity across the tourism, hospitality and creative sectors.

Raw Vision Collective said the event could contribute to Jakarta's development as a regional live-entertainment destination, with the concert experience extending beyond the stadium to the city itself.

Fans can purchase tickets and access the ticket-and-accommodation packages through YE Live in Jakarta.
