Will quit politics, if Congress proves filling up 70k jobs: KTR
Hyderabad: Stating that the Congress govt had cheated on Telangana youth in the name of filling up two lakh jobs, BRS working president KT Rama Rao dared the Congress govt to prove it had filled up 70,000 jobs by giving job notificaitons, he would quit the politics. He said the Congress before the 2023 assembly elections that would fill up two lakh jobs in the first year itself but failed to keep its promises. He said the recruitment letters were given to the selected candidates by CM Revanth Reddy, for the jobs that were notified by the BRS regime and resorting to `credit chori’.Addressing a massive public meeting `Yuva Sangarama Sabha’ organised by the party at Saroornagar stadium on Saturday, KTR said at the same venue 38 months ago, the Congress party released `youth declaration’ giving many promises, none were kept. “In Telangana, it is not job kumbha mela as promised by the Congress party, it was `scams kumbhamela’ that has been going in the state for the past two and half years,” the BRS leader said.“Even Congress leader Rahul Gandhi came to Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad and gave several assurances. Revanth Reddy asked the unemployed youth to take off the jobs of KCR and KTR and they get two lakh jobs, where are the jobs and Rahul Gandhi,” he asked. Stating that no govt would survive if the youth are angry and the youth played crucial role in Telangana movement, KTR asked the youth to issue a `death warrant’ to the Congress party in the next elections. He asked the youth as per the manifesto and youth declaration, if they got 75% reservations in private jobs, electric two wheelers for the girl students, Rs 10 lakh financial support to the youth, fee reimbursement dues, and Rs 4,000 a month unemployment allowance.“The Congress gave big advertisements in newspapers in November 2023 on job calendars. Job calendars were not released even Telugu and English calendars passed in the past two and half years, only scam calendars are coming out,” the BRS working president said. He said the BRS had sanctioned 2.32 lakh jobs and completed the recruitment process for 1.60 lakh jobs.BRS MLA D Sudheer Reddy and some of the youth spoke at the meeting. Meanwhile, police did not allow BRS leaders P Sabita Indra Reddy and RS Praveen Kumar to participate in the meeting and were house arrested by the police.ends/Get the latest City News and Live updates.
