Two distinct events take place this weekend with themes related to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, both with opportunities to participate in Michigan.

President Donald Trump is celebrating his 80th birthday on Sunday — which also falls on Flag Day — by hosting a massive Ultimate Fighting Championship event on the South Lawn of the White House. The nationally televised UFC Freedom 250 doubles as a commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The two-day UFC Freedom 250 includes a free, ticketed Zac Brown Band concert Saturday and a caged fighting match Sunday, with 4,000 ticketed guests expected. The main event, which starts at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, will be broadcast live by Paramount+.

Also Sunday night, the No Kings organization is hosting watch parties across the country for the “Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment" at The Town Hall in New York City. The concert, presented by Jane Fonda’s Committee for the First Amendment, begins at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
