U.S. diplomat recounts Sept. 11 outpouring from Canadians
Baxter Hunt, the U.S. consul general in Toronto, was working at the American Embassy in Ottawa when the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks occurred. He recalls an outpouring of support from Canadians in the weeks that followed. (Sept. 6, 2026)
