Tyler Menninga Wins JCB Racing World Championship at World Finals
Tyler Menninga (Grave Digger) won the JCB Racing World Championship at Monster Jam World Finals XXV at the Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, UT Saturday night.
This is Menninga’s third World Finals Championship, and first in JCB Racing!
This was an emotional win for Menninga, who had had a rough night on Friday when he crashed out of Freestyle early on in his run.
Menninga got a Bye out of the first round after a strong qualifying performance on Thursday night. Saturday night, he defeated Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger Grandma), Camden Murphy (Classroom Crusher) and Triton Robbins (Krazy Train) en route to the final.
His rival was Tristan England in JCB DIGatron, who won the Friday JCB Racing bracket.
Menninga got to run the final in the left/blue lane, which had been the preferred lane throughout the course of the weekend. Menninga put a solid run together to cross the finish line first and finally win his first JCB Racing World Championship.
In the third-place race, Triton Robbins defeated Fernando Martinez to earn the bronze model, having qualified into the Main Event field during the LCQ event on Thursday.
