TSU Security Technologies Enter Indian Market
Tomsk State University and Precision Power Products Pvt. Ltd. (India) signed a letter of intent. Organizations will develop the export of Tomsk technologies to India. First of all, these are metal detectors and equipment for the diagnosis of tuberculosis and cancer.
- One of the important tasks in the framework of the strategic technological project "Security Technologies" (Priority 2030) and the development program of the World-Class Research Center "New Special Purpose Materials" is the export of TSU technologies to the foreign market. The level of readiness of our developments varies from test models to products ready for the market, so we are open to different formats of interaction, - emphasized Prof. Alexander Vorozhtsov, director of the TSU Center for Management of Scientific, Technological and Innovative Projects.
Precision Power Products Pvt. Ltd. was founded in 1991 and specializes in the development of software, control systems, sensors, electronics, etc. The delegation was led by Vikas Bhamburdekar, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
TSU team presented developments on strategic technological projects in the field of safety, new materials, medicine, UAS. The colleagues were impressed by the radio imaging technologies of the Faculty of Radiophysics. For example, Cardioradar: this device is able to remotely detect signs of life in people in open areas or behind light obstacles in real time by recording a heartbeat at a frequency of 900 MHz. Another development is the Terrazond unmanned ground-penetrating radar, created for the tasks of subsurface sensing and mapping of utilities and hidden pavement objects.
Indian officials were also interested in laser molecular imaging and machine learning lab projects. Scientists are developing methods for non-invasive diagnosis of various diseases - tuberculosis, oncology and others.
We shall remind that in December 2025, Tomsk State University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology of India (DIAT). The signing took place on the initiative of the Indian Embassy in Russia and the leadership of DRDO (Organization of Defense Research and Development of the Ministry of Defense of India) on the eve of the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under an agreement with Rosoboronexport and a contract with one of the DRDO organizations, TSU has already delivered an experimental batch of lithium zeolite to India. It is used in oxygen generators in airplanes, in medical and household appliances.
