President Donald Trump is asking the public to choose a new name for artificial intelligence, while also proposing an "AI Force" and an "AI Czar" to monitor the rapidly expanding technology sector.

Trump Puts New AI Names to A Vote

Trump took to Truth Social and X on Saturday to argue that "artificial intelligence" is an "inaccurate, and very ineloquent" name for the technology.

He asked users to choose among "Superior Intelligence," "Extreme Intelligence" and "Supreme Intelligence."

In the initial polls, "Superior Intelligence" led on both platforms. On Truth Social, it had 41% of the vote, compared with 38% for "Extreme Intelligence" and 21% for "Supreme Intelligence," based on more than 64,000 votes.

On X, "Superior Intelligence" had 41.4%, followed by "Supreme Intelligence" at 30.8% and "Extreme Intelligence" at 27.8%, with more than 226,000 votes.

Trump later removed "Supreme Intelligence" from the poll, saying it was "probably because of its relationship to the Supreme Court," and launched a new vote between the remaining two names.

The second poll showed "Superior Intelligence" ahead on both platforms, though the results remained live.

Trump says a new agreement with Denmark and Greenland will give the U.S. a permanent security role and expanded military presence.

Trump Proposes ‘AI Force’ And ‘AI Czar’

The naming poll came as Trump announced plans to establish an "AI Force" and appoint an "AI Czar" to monitor bad actors in the artificial intelligence industry.

Trump said the new force would be modeled after the Space Force and would seek out "BAD" activity through the existing criminal justice system.

The president said the initiative would not "hinder or stifle the Growth" of AI but instead "cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows!"

The proposal comes amid growing debate over how quickly AI should advance and how much oversight is needed.

Some AI industry leaders have called for a slowdown to give companies and governments more time to develop safeguards, while Trump has argued that slowing U.S. AI development could benefit China.
