Thomas Theatre adds entertainment center to Quinnesec location

QUINNESEC, Mich. (WLUC) - The Thomas Theatre Group and Entertainment location in Quinnesec has added a new entertainment center.

Work on the new entertainment center began last September. President and Owner Tom Andes says the new addition, which has a restaurant, bar, digital arcade, axe-throwing and a party room, appeals to everybody.

“My joke is from 8 to 80,” Andes said. “So, there’s something here for everybody so I’m excited to unveil it and get the feedback from the public and see a lot of happy, smiling faces.”

He says the restaurant serves American food with a twist.

Vice President Valarie Andes says the main entrance will take visitors past the amenities of the new addition.

“As you walk in here, you’ll see the restaurant on one side, you’ll see all of the arcade games on the other side we have axe throwing tucked back in the corner there,” she said. “So, you have these options: you could bring food into the theater if you want, you can sit here for a meal before or after your movie.”

This week is a soft opening, to help train staff and work out any kinks. But Tom Andes says feedback has been excellent so far, with guests particularly noting the quality of the food.

“Everybody who walks in here thinks it’s very nice, it’s very well done,” he said. “Our staff has been nice, courteous and polite to all the customers. And it’s just a unique experience for everybody because there’s nothing really like this for a long, long way from where we live, so we’re excited for everybody to come down and see it.”

The new addition will open to the public next Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m. CDT. He says the entertainment center will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight on Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
