The 10 Best Watches at the World Cup (So Far)
This year's FIFA World Cup has already seen some incredible moments, from Lionel Messi tying the all-time goals record with a thrilling hat trick to Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane each securing a brace in their openers. There have been some dazzling moments off the pitch, too, with the top players and A-list spectators alike showing off their finest timepieces at games across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Pro athletes and luxury watches go hand in hand, so it is not exactly surprising to see some of the hottest new releases at the Cup. Messi busted out Rolex's latest Day-Date and Harry Kane flexed Patek's new anniversary Nautilus, for example. Both pieces were only unveiled at Watches and Wonders in April.

Harry Kane: Patek Philippe Nautilus
Before scoring a pair against Croatia, English striker Harry Kane showed off the newest Patek Philippe Nautilus. Released at Watches and Wonders in April to mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic model, the piece features the porthole-shaped case, rounded octagonal bezel, and horizontally embossed blue dial collectors have come to know and love, but, crucially, no date window. It is offered in both white gold ($93,774) and platinum ($112,529), with the latter showcasing the signature diamond at 9 o'clock. We can't tell exactly which one Kane is wearing, but it appears to be the platinum, which is certainly befitting of a captain.
Neymar may have had to watch Brazil's first match from the sidelines due to injury, but he did so in style with a blingy Rolex Lady-Datejust on his wrist. Released at Watches and Wonders in 2021, the small but striking yellow-gold piece features some 931 brilliant-cut diamonds across the 28 mm case, bracelet, and dial with black Roman numerals creating a punchy contrast to all that ice. You can pick one up for $181,700.
Kylian Mbappe: Hublot Big Bang Original Seddiqi Edition
Before breaking France's all-time goalscoring record in his game against Senegal, Kylian Mbappe was spotted in a sleek Hublot Big Bang. The watch is one of two limited editions the Swiss maison released at Dubai Watch Week in 2025 in honor of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the family-owned luxury watch retailer that founded the event in 2015. Both feature dials with Arabic numerals and self-winding movements with solid-gold oscillating weights engraved with a special Seddiqi logo. One is crafted in full black ceramic, the other is made of titanium. Mbappe opted for the titanium, which was originally limited to 25 examples and priced at $25,200.
Argentine superstar Lionel Messi flexed one of the hottest new Rollies before notching three goals against Algeria and tying Germany's Miroslav Klose for the World Cup's all-time goal-scoring record. Released at Watches and Wonders earlier this year, the Day-Date (Ref. 228235JG) in question features a new type of "Jubilee Gold" on the 41 mm case, bezel, and bracelet, along with an aventurine dial. The Crown began experimenting with this stone in the 1970s and revisited it in 2023, but this time it is presented in an elegant pale green. The piece is priced at $65,700.
Travis Scott: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar
Travis Scott showed off his own creation at the game between Brazil and Morocco, wearing the watch he dropped with Audemars Piguet in 2023. The Royal Oak, or the "chocolate AP" as Scott calls it in his hit single "Meltdown," features several nods to his brand Cactus Jack. The 41 mm case is made of a "chocolate brown" ceramic inspired by one of the label's signature hues, while the dial is adorned with the brand's logo and smiley-face motif. It was originally limited to 200 pieces and priced at $201,000. In addition to the regular production model, Scott and AP made a custom piece featuring a rose-gold bezel set with a rainbow of gemstones.
Cristiano Ronaldo: Patek Philippe Nautilus Haute Joaillerie
Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo may not have shone quite as brightly as expected in the match against DR Congo, but he was certainly sparkling before kick-off with an iced-out Patek Philippe on his wrist. Released at Watches and Wonders in 2025, the high-jewelry timepiece (Ref. 5811/1460G-001) is set with 195 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 13.27 carats and 1,285 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 6.43 carats. Pretty much every part of the white-gold case, bezel, bracelet, and dial is covered with stones, resulting in a hefty retail price of $721,986.
Jay-Z: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar
Jay-Z casually flexed one of the rarest APs ever made at the game between Ivory Coast and Ecuador. Released in 1997, the limited-edition Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar (Ref. 25829TP) is made from a rare combination of tantalum and platinum, resulting in a distinctive two-tone finish. The open-worked dial is equally stunning, showing the day, date, month, leap year cycle, and moon phase. Just 16 pieces were originally released, with examples selling for over $250,000 at auction and on sites like Chrono24.
Michael Bublé has many a rare Rolex in his collection, but strapped on a platinum Daytona to perform before the Canada vs. Bosnia match. It appears to be the Ref. 116506 that the Crown unveiled at Baselworld 2013 to celebrate 50 years of the iconic chrono. The 40 mm piece features an ice-blue dial with three chestnut-brown subdials and a matching brown Cerachrom bezel with a tachymetric scale. It was officially discontinued in March 2023 and replaced by the updated Ref. 126506 (pictured). Bublé could be wearing the modern successor, but we know he loves a rare Daytona. The Ref. 116506 sells for around $100,000 on the secondary market, while the Ref. 126506 retails for $84,600.
Rob Lowe: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date
Rob Lowe went big for the game between the U.S. and Paraguay, sporting the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date. It's a mouthful, we know. Released in 2023, the 43 mm titanium timepiece isn't just big in size but in complications, featuring an exceptional automatic rattrapante chronograph (Calibre 4407) with the date and 24-hour GMT functions. All of which is on show thanks to the open-worked dial. It was originally priced at 170,000 Swiss francs.
There was no missing Maluma as he cheered on Colombia against Uzbekistan with a striking Rolex Yacht-Master 40 (Ref. 116695SATS) on his wrist. Released in 2017, the pink-gold piece, fittingly nicknamed the "Tutti Frutti," features a pavé diamond dial and a bezel set with a colorful assortment of trapeze-cut precious stones. You can expect to pay upward of $100,000 for one on the secondary market.
