Teen arrested after daylight shooting in Montreal's Plateau-Mont-Royal borough
Officers found the victim inside a pickup truck after reports of multiple gunshots
A 17-year-old is in police custody following a shooting in Montreal's Plateau-Mont-Royal borough on Thursday afternoon that left a 22-year-old man in critical condition.
Montreal police responded to the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots on Henri-Julien Avenue near the corner of Carmel Avenue. Officers found the victim inside a pickup truck, suffering from life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police say the teenage suspect was located and arrested near the scene shortly after the shooting.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances and motive behind the attack.
