Suriya entering politics? actor's fan club issues clarification - INDIA
CHENNAI: The All India Suriya Fans Club has clarified that actor Suriya has no plans to enter politics. The statement came amid growing rumours about the South Indian superstar’s possible political entry. The fan club issued an official statement saying that Suriya intends to continue his charitable activities and social service initiatives rather than enter politics.
Over the past few days, speculation had been growing that Suriya might follow actor Vijay and enter politics. The rumours gained attention after remarks made during a meeting of the All India Suriya Thalaimai Narpani Iyakkam in Chennai.
During the event, a fan club representative said that no one could stop Suriya if the right time came and that he would lead when circumstances were favourable. The comments were widely shared on social media, triggering discussions about Suriya’s political future.
Several fans also expressed support for the actor entering politics. However, as the discussions intensified, the fan club clarified that Suriya has no such plans and will continue focusing on his films and social service activities.
This is not the first time rumours about Suriya’s political entry have surfaced. Similar speculation emerged last year after an event organised by his charitable organisation, the Agaram Foundation.
