Two people are in the hospital after a small plane crashed just outside of St. John's Saturday evening.
In a news release, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said emergency crews responded to a report of a plane crash near Paddy's Pond around 7:20 p.m. NT.
Staff from the St. John's International Airport and Rovers Search and Rescue were also on scene.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) in Halifax was also engaged, and helped police locate the crash. The two occupants were taken to the hospital with what the RNC is calling non-life threatening injuries.
