Should attendance be part of students’ final grades?
Starting September, attendance and participation will now be factored into high school students' final grades in Ontario. The provincial government created this policy in response to low attendance rates from the 2024-25 school year. Attendance will be worth 15 per cent for Grades 9 to10 and 10 per cent for Grades 11 to12. CBC Kids News asked teens in Toronto, Ontario, how they feel about this new change.
