President DonaldTrump publicly criticised Jeanine Pirro's decision to drop the Reflecting Pool legal case over alleged vandalism. The court document filed by Pirro, the US Attorney for Washington DC, blames contractors for rushing the paint installation process.
Federal prosecutors dismissed charges against a former Olympian accused of vandalising the landmark.
While acknowledging there "may have been some contractor difficulty", Trump maintained that vandals were responsible for the "major damage".
