ConnectPay unveils new core banking business Serdis
ConnectPay in Lithuania is making its homegrown core banking platform available to financial institutions and other Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs) in Europe as a new independent solution called Serdis.
The mainframe features a tree-based general ledger, real-time balances, automated IBAN lifecycle management, FX and treasury engines, native support for SEPA, SEPA Instant, and Swift, all running on the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) developed by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Serdis is the rebranded Mars project run by ConnectPay last year to create its own core banking technology. ConnectPay states that it moved its entire live operations to Mars in July 2025. This included €14 billion in annual transaction volume "moved in a single weekend". The move was revealed in February this year.
Rhode Island's Centreville Bank taps Jack Henry for core upgrade
Centreville Bank, a $3 billion-asset mutual institution based in Rhode Island, has selected Jack Henry to enhance its tech systems and back-office workflows.
Centreville Bank has utilised core banking technology from Connecticut-based vendor COCC since 2020. Alongside the core system implementation, Centreville Bank will deploy several integrated Jack Henry solutions.
These include the Banno Digital Platform, JHA Treasury Management for cash management, Enterprise Workflow for business process management, and Synapsys, the provider's customer relationship management platform.
Newly proposed digital-centric bank Sagehaven taps Nymbus for core banking tech
Sagehaven Bancorp, a newly proposed digital-centric commercial bank to be headquartered in Pittsburgh, US, has selected Nymbus' flagship core banking platform to power its services as it waits for its national bank charter authorisation from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
Sagehaven was created with the purpose of serving small-to-mid market companies and mid-to-high-net-worth consumers. Nymbus describes these two segments as "often underserved" and "undervalued" by traditional banking platforms.
Sagehaven submitted its application for a national charter to the US regulators in July. Should it be approved, the company would become the first start-up de novo bank in Pittsburgh in nearly 20 years.
NatWest Boxed powers new Sainsbury's Money lending and accounts products
Sainsbury's Money, the British supermarket group's recently restructured financial services arm, has begun rolling out its new product suite via NatWest Boxed, the UK bank's embedded finance platform.
The two institutions inked the partnership for these new solutions in April, shortly after NatWest's acquisition of Sainsbury's Bank personal loan, credit card, and retail deposit portfolios was closed.
Now, NatWest Boxed will enable Sainsbury's Money to offer customers personal loans, which can be used to buy a vehicle or improve a home. Sainsbury's Money also plans to launch an instant access savings account in October.
Business lender Celtic Bank selects Jack Henry's core processing platform
Utah, US-based Celtic Bank has partnered with banking technology vendor Jack Henry as it looks to scale its loan financing operations for businesses across the US.
The bank will deploy the Missouri-headquartered vendor's core processing platform along with a suite of tech solutions including the Banno Business platform and Enterprise Workflow.
Banno Business will enable Celtic Bank to upgrade its customer-facing digital banking experience, while Enterprise Workflow will streamline the bank's operations by automating workflows and approvals.
